A multipurpose rutile titanium dioxide pigment grade for decorative and industrial coatings, solvent and water-based systems. It can also be used in printing inks, paper coatings, PVC and polyolefin plastics.

TiO₂ Rutile Plastics Grade
A titanium dioxide pigment rutile grade for polyolefin masterbatch (including polyethylene) for extrusion, extrusion coatings and engineering polymers.

Titanium dioxide is a naturally occurring mineral, and it is typically extracted from the ore ilmenite or rutile and on further beneficiation and processing, titanium dioxide (TiO₂) pigment is manufactured. The pigment, is used to provide whiteness, opacity that is widely used in a variety of industries which include architectural paints, industrial coatings, plastics, inks, paper, food and cosmetics.
There are two dominant processes for producing TiO₂ suitable for pigment, which are the sulphate and chloride processes. Nyanza produces its titanium pigment using the sulphate process.
