Donovan Chimhandamba
PRESIDENT & CEO | B.Eng. (Hons) Industrial & Manufacturing; MBA
Donovan Chimhandamba is a visionary industrialist and founder of Nyanza Light Metals, a pioneering ilmenite beneficiation and energy transition materials producer based in Richards Bay, South Africa.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Industrial and Manufacturing and an MBA. Prior to establishing Nyanza Light Metals, Donovan’s extensive experience encompassed senior roles at Engen Petroleum Refinery as an Industrial Engineer, PPC Cement as an Operations Engineer, Vesuvius International as Manufacturing and Operations General Manager, Group Five in Business Development, and at National Empowerment Fund as a Fund Manager focusing on project preparation, project finance, and private equity.
In 2011, he founded Arkein Capital Partners, leading to the establishment of Nyanza Light Metals, Diaspora Infrastructure Development Group (2016) and Transition Metal Industries (2024).
As President and CEO of Nyanza Group, Donovan drives economic growth, job creation, and sustainability through innovative industrial projects focused on transforming Africa’s abundant mineral ores into high-value products, earning him recognition as a thought leader in mineral beneficiation and value addition for Africa’s industrialization and just energy transition.
Beki Moyo
DIRECTOR | BAcc (Hons); CA; MBA Banking & Finance
Beki is a co- founder and director of DBF Capital Partners. Prior to the establishment of DBF, Beki was Group CFO at ABC Holdings, the parent Company of BancABC. Beki is a seasoned banker with industry experience spanning over 20 years. He has worked in Investment Banking, Treasury, Risk, Operations and headed up Group IT. His banking career started at Stanbic Bank where he was employed as Chief Accountant.
Francis Dzanya
DIRECTOR | Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Banking, Insurance and Finance
Francis is a co- founder and director of DBF Capital Partners. He has held various senior banking positions, with over 30 years’ experience in the banking industry in Southern Africa, 19 of which were spent at ABC Holdings Limited (parent company of BancABC) and its predecessor companies.
