About the Role<\/b><\/p>\n
ECEC (East China Engineering Science and Technology Co., Ltd.) is seeking to appoint a Civil <\/b>Quality Control Inspector<\/b> to support civil quality control activities for the Nyanza 80ktpa TiO\u2082 <\/span>Pigment Plant Project.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The role will be responsible for inspecting civil works during construction, supporting quality acceptance processes, maintaining quality records, and assisting in the identification and close-out of quality-related issues. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, the Client, the Project Management Consultant, and subcontractors to support compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and project quality requirements.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n The Civil Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for:<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Conducting daily site inspections and quality checks on civil works, including foundations, structures, masonry, finishing works, roof systems, asphalt works, and related construction activities.<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Inspecting works in line with construction drawings, technical specifications, inspection and test plans, and applicable acceptance standards.<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Participating in quality acceptance, sampling, and testing of incoming materials, including reinforcement steel, cement, aggregates, concrete, semi-finished products, and components.<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Monitoring critical processes and concealed works, maintaining photographic evidence and accurate quality records.<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Preparing and maintaining inspection records, test reports, acceptance documentation, quality registers, and related quality documents.<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Issuing quality observations or corrective action notices where defects, non-conformances, or risks are identified.<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Tracking corrective actions and verifying effective close-out.<\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Supporting the Project Quality Manager, Site Quality Manager, and Quality Supervisor with <\/span>quality plans, quality briefings, ITPs, quality reports, NCRs, surveillance reports, observation <\/span>records, and requests for inspection.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Participating in quality meetings and providing accurate updates on site quality status.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Cooperating with the Client, Project Management Consultant, subcontractors, and relevant <\/span>inspection bodies during inspections and acceptance processes.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Escalating any activity that may compromise quality, safety, compliance, or project <\/span>standards.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Minimum Requirements<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural <\/span>Engineering, or a related field.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in civil construction quality inspection.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Valid quality inspector qualification or relevant quality inspection certification will be <\/span>advantageous.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, <\/span>and quality acceptance standards.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Working knowledge of civil construction quality standards, material testing, and quality <\/span>documentation.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Ability to use basic surveying instruments such as levels, theodolites, or total stations will be <\/span>advantageous.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Experience in petrochemical, industrial, or process plant construction projects will be <\/span>advantageous.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Experience in TiO<\/span>\u2082<\/span> pigment plant projects will be highly advantageous.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Proficiency in Microsoft Office.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> AutoCAD or project management software exposure will be advantageous.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n and report-writing ability.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span> Ability to work under pressure in a construction site environment.<\/span><\/p>\n 2 \/ 3<\/span>\u2022<\/span> Fluency in
